Shihab is a motion and graphic designer with over 8 years of experience. He has worked in a freelance capacity since 2017. Most recently he has worked full-time at Team Liquid, an esports organization since 2022. He has experience leading marketing campaigns across multiple platforms with a team of designers working under him. Shihab is comfortable in a client facing role, having experience pitching and handling client feedback in multiple previous roles. He thrives in situations that allow for experimentation and breaking rules and Shihab looks to push boundaries with everything he does.

Alongisde the traditional design expierence, Shihab holds an active fine arts practice. He is intrigued by the impact of technology on human relationships & communication in our ever-connected world.

Based in Tkaronto, Canada, Shihab holds a BFA in New Media from Toronto Metropolitan University. He has exhibited works locally and internationally, at the Art Gallery of Guelph, InterAccess, Northern Contemporary Gallery, Gallery 1313, Tranzac Club, and many others.

Team Liquid has many long standing partnership with many popular IPs throughout fiction, leveraging imagery from these IPs we produced apparel and merchandise lines. Marketing direction is crucial to get word out to potential fans about these very limited apparel runs, showcasing products to our gaming focused audience.

A 14 day broadcast that peaked at 65000+ viewers on Twitch, this project showcases broadcast, marketing, and social assets that went into supporting this monstrous world first effort by Liquid Guild.

A unique challenge presented working at an organization that competes worldwide across several prominent video game titles, Team Liquid needs active social media collateral to track events and inform fans of the orgs activity. Designing these packages for specific events requires research and understanding from the team to inform the context of the graphics. It’s our goal to create something fresh that resonants with fans while still referencing back to working systems and design ideas.

Part of creating content on YouTube is learning and playing to the youtube video algorithim. It’s an integral part of whether a video suceeds or fails. Videos for which I’ve done thumbnail designs for have amassed more than 10 million views on the platform. Averaging a high click through rate, I pride myself on being able to depict important story beats in a concise and effective way.
